Are you looking to connect with other undergraduate survivors of sexual violence, relationship violence, and stalking?
CARE invites you to our drop-in support circle. Learn how to build on your strengths, coping skills, and self-care practices in this series, facilitated by confidential CARE advocates and CAPS therapists. Drop-in support groups are a safe, nonjudgmental space to get support, information, reassurance and encouragement from fellow survivors and advocates.
Sessions will be held weekly on Thursdays from 1-2 PM in person at the Porter Annex Room. It is not required that participants meet with a CARE advocate or a CAPS therapist before attending a session.
Join us to explore these topics with the CARE and CAPS team:
2/2 — Healing Trauma
2/9 — Physiology of Trauma
2/16 — Mindful Walk
2/23 — Our Inner Critic
3/2 — Expressing Anger with Creativity
3/9 — Pod Mapping
3/16 — Grab your to-go coping kits and food while celebrating the magic of the circleSign up for any Survival Circle session. This will help us gauge how many people to expect for each day. We understand that attendance may vary throughout the months. Groups are private and our CARE and CAPS staff will be exempted from mandated reporting responsibilities. You may be contacted in the future by CARE requesting feedback about support groups. We invite you to contact care@ucsc.edu for any questions or accessibility requests.
Become a CARE Ambassador! This in-depth training will help empower you to work to end violence in our community. Participants who complete the whole training will receive an Ambassador certificate, a gift from CARE, and the opportunity to volunteer with us. The training includes live workshops and self-guided modules.
