    Winter 2024 Survivor Circle

  • CARE and CAPS are collaborating on hosting Winter 2024 Survivor Circle. This Survivor Circle is for UCSC undergraduate and graduate students who have experienced interpersonal harm, including sexual violence, relationship abuse, and stalking. We offer a supportive space for healing, developing coping skills, and building community among survivors. Interested participants can fill out an interest form. Information about dates/times per quarter will be shared with interested participants only.

     


  • Ambassador Training

  • Become a CARE Ambassador! This educational opportunity will connect you to in-depth trainings and resources, empowering you to end violence in our community alongside other Ambassadors. Participants who complete the whole training will receive a certificate of completion, a gift from CARE, and the opportunity to volunteer with us. The training includes 3 in-person sessions with discussions, activities, and community-building; 1 virtual training with EndTAB; and 3 self-paced online modules. Participation in all sessions and modules is mandatory to complete the certification and volunteer with us.

    The in-person sessions of Winter Ambassador Training will be held on Fridays, January 26th, February 9th, and February 16th from 1-3:30pm in the Mural Room at the Student Health Center (on McLaughlin Drive across from John R. Lewis College).

    The virtual training with EndTAB will be on Thursday, January 30th from 3-4pm – The Zoom link will be shared later. The next time we offer this training will be in the following academic year.

  • CAREntine's Day Self-Love Jam 

  • Join CARE on Valentine's Day to celebrate self-love, community love, and embracing healthy relationships through arts and crafts. Snacks will be provided, no RSVP is needed!

    This event will be held on Wednesday, February 14th from 4:00-6:30 PM at the Cowell Fireside Lounge

  • Speaking from the Heart: Love Letters to Myself

  • Join CARE for an evening of self-expression through writing letters of love and appreciation while enjoying snacks and drinks with the community. Share your writing and creations by stepping up to the open mic during the event!

    The event will be held on Thursday, February 29th from 4-7pm in the Guzman Room at Oakes College (the room connected to Oakes Cafe under the Learning Center).
